Ferrari enjoyed a one-two in Friday's first
practice session for Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix as Kimi Raikkonen
topped the timesheets ahead of team-mate Sebastian Vettel.
The Finn posted a best time of one minute 37.827 seconds around the
5.412-kilometre Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, edging out
four-time world champion Vettel by 0.798 seconds.
Mercedes pair Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton finished 15th and 16th
respectively, around a 1.5 seconds off the pace, in what was a
low-key session for the German team.
Williams were third with Valtteri Bottas and the Toro Rosso pair of
Carlos Sainz Junior and Max Verstappen took fourth and sixth, either
side of Daniel Ricciardo in Red Bull.
McLaren had a mixed session as Jenson Button's car stopped on the
first turn of his first lap and he failed to get out again though
Fernando Alonso did finish seventh.
