 coach Alexander Zorniger coach Alexander Zorniger to take over next season from Huub Stevens, according to a report by the local Stuttgarter Nachrichten daily Wednesday. There was no immediate confirmation from the club, and a club spokesman told dpa it was not commenting on the report. According to the report, Zoringer, 47, will sign a three-year contract which will also be valid for the second division if the club is relegated from the top-flight Bundesliga. Zorniger was head coach at second-division Leipzig from 2012 until leaving in February. He was assistant at Stuttgart to Markus Babbel in 2009. Dutch coach Stevens had signalled his intention to leave at the end of the season, the newspaper reported. Stuttgart are currently in a relegation place, a point ahead of bottom side SV Hamburg. They visit sixth-placed Augsburg on Saturday. | |||||
